Sisterhood

Sisterhood is dedicated to supporting the Temple and the Jewish community.  We provide our members with knowledge, companionship, and opportunities for personal enrichment and for fulfillment in many facets of our lives.

We strengthen the bond of unity among Jewish women and appreciate everything fine in Jewish life.  We participate in religious services and provide social events.

We help and support our Congregation members through simchas and tragedies, and most importantly raise funds to support Temple Beth Shalom.

We offer a free one-year membership to all new Temple members.  We meet on the 4th Sunday of the month.

Our Judaica Shop is open to purchase items for yourself or friends and family.  Depending on your time and interests, there are many opportunities to become involved.

We look forward to welcoming you to our Temple Beth Shalom family and to Sisterhood.

Men's Club

The purpose of the Temple Beth Shalom Men’s Club is to raise funds for the Temple through various events that include lectures, entertainment, trips, shows and cruises. In addition to our members we also have the support and participation of the Temple Sisterhood and the Temple Beth Shalom Congregation in our events. Our monthly joint meetings with Sisterhood include a light breakfast followed by an entertainer or  a speaker on a topic related to Judaism or to the present time.

The dues for Membership in the Men’s Club are $18 per year.  The first year of Men’s Club Membership is free. The Men’s Club welcomes new members and encourages all Men’s Club members to serve on the Board of Directors of the Men’s Club.

Judaica Shop

Our Judaica Shop opened under the capable hand of Sisterhood Past President Hilda Kravitz (of blessed memory). Hilda’s husband constructed our shop. We are forever grateful to her and the women who succeeded her in managing our shop and to the volunteers who work there.

Whether you are interested in Jewish jewelry, religious items, or the perfect gift, you can be sure that whatever you are looking for is waiting for you here!!  Our dedicated volunteers are waiting to offer quality customer service during the hours of 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

Adult Education

Our Adult Education program provides a varied array of once-a-month programming, from October to June, on a Sunday morning.  Our programs offer topics of interest pertaining to Jewish life using lectures, films, music, and humor all by outstanding presenters.  Thank you to everyone who has attended our programs.  These events could not have been possible without our wonderful committee as well as our annual grant from Federation of South Palm Beach County.  Ideas for possible programs are always welcome, as well as new committee members. Click Here for the full schedule of speakers

In addition, once a month, we have a Sunday afternoon Jewish themed movie, spearheaded, and chaired by Yvonne (Etsie) Weinreb.  We show highly acclaimed Jewish films, with pre and post discussion. Click Here for the full Movie Schedule

We look forward to seeing you at all our programs, and of course, refreshments are always served.
